We are proud to be one of only 16 school districts currently designated as “Exemplary” by the Tennessee Department of Education, and our students consistently excel in academics, athletics, and the arts. Our outstanding students, faculty, and staff members coupled with high levels of community support and involvement are the keys to our success as we strive to learn, grow, and lead together.

We are proud to have been named one of only five Exemplary ACCESS School Systems in the state for our dedication to helping all students succeed. In addition, our school system has been named one of the "Best Communities for Music Education" for the last five years in a row, Lakeland Elementary School (K-4) is a National Blue Ribbon School, and both Lakeland Elementary and Lakeland Prep are named as Tennessee Purple Star Schools for their commitment to serving our military families. We completed our high school facility in August, 2022, which currently serves 9th and 10th grade students, and will add one grade each year until 2025-2026 when we will become a comprehensive K-12 system.
